This is an update of recent and upcoming events.

1. Welcome to seven new members since our last AGM. Our AB-West membership now stands at 68. As new members you may be receiving this update for the first time. Please feel free to interact with our executive (Fred Schuman, Karen Landry, Ed Dyck) at any time with questions that you may have.

2. We had an attendance of 20 persons at our recent learning event on Oct 2. There seemed to be an enthusiasm in the room as members and non members alike networked for the first hour and then received excellent input from our speakers regarding integrating faith into our practice. Thank you for excellent presentations Oi-Wah Whitbourne and Arnie Weber.

3. Our next event is the Gottman Level one training November 26&27 here in Calgary. I encourage you to register early. This event is open to other practicing professionals as well, not just PACCC members. So invite others that you think might be interested to register and attend.  I believe payment can be delayed till the day of the event if that is better for you. Also don’t miss the early bird discount. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

4. The first event of the new year will be February 26, 2010. Susan Hastie has agreed to present on the topic of reaching into our communities—the communities in which we live and practice. As I conversed with her about this it was clear that she is passionate about this topic and will have some excellent material for us to consider. I got excited about this topic from the brief conversation we had on the phone.
