Application Process

COMPLETING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

To avoid unnecessary delays in processing, please ensure you have enclosed the following:
  1. A current copy of your resume, which includes your education and professional work experience.
  2. An official transcript of courses completed for your most recent/highest degree involving counselling or related field.
  3. Completed PACCC Application Form
  4. Completed Liability Insurance Application or Proof of Malpractice Liability (if you have through work already)
  5. Child Abuse Registry Review (if your province provides this...PLEASE NOTE THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN A CRIMINAL CHECK)
  6. Criminal Record Check
  7. All applicable fees (application, membership and insurance, if required)
  8. Please make two separate payments to “PACCC". One payment for the application fee of $30.00 and the other for the appropriate membership/insurance fees to be deposited when membership is approved.

Once all the required components are received, the application will be thoroughly reviewed. Upon acceptance, the insurance application for those subscribing to the PACCC Group Liability Insurance Program will be forwarded to the underwriter for processing. Once this process is completed, the applicant will be notified and provided with the certificates of membership and insurance (as applicable). The applicant will at this time be granted all the rights and privileges consistent with their membership classification.

Please note that the application process can take up to approximately six weeks.
